31DC2017Weekly 6: The Purple Elephants In The Room

It’s Week 6 of the 31DC2017Weekly, and I will admit I’m a little glad that I can now stop doing white middle & ring fingers! No one asked me to, true, but I noticed that was what I had done for three consecutive weeks and decided to continue until the end of the colour prompts. At the beginning of this challenge, I had decided that on top of the weekly prompts, I was going to stick to either Moyra or DRK Nails plates for any stamping I did because I love these plates and don’t use them nearly as much as I should. But, add to that the white fingers and it was one restriction too many, even for a white-lover like myself. We’re at the end of the single colour prompts, so no more white: oh, wait, it’s black & white next week… delay the festivities…

For this week’s violet/purple nails, I did a quick reverse-stamped design of some plumpy oliphaunts (Lord of the Rings, anyone?):

On my thumb, pinky & index fingers, I’m wearing two coats of the beautiful Cloud Nine from the Color Club Halo Hues collection. On the other two fingers, I’m wearing two coats of OPI Oh My Majesty. I stamped on all the fingers using Sally Hansen CSM Pat On The Black and DRK Nails plate DRK-C. For the reverse-stamped images, I filled in using Cloud Nine and Orly Preamp.

It has been a cloudy, dismal week, so I do not have any pictures to show off the holo goodness, but the macro below is the best I could manage with a desk lamp on, along with a macro shot of the oliphaunts:
