Hello, folks! A cozy sweater is one of my top favourite things in the world, so when I had an opportunity to do my nails this week, I went with a sweater print.
The base is two coats of Tonic Polish Come Wander. I seem to have a bit of a love-hate relationship with this one. This is a periwinkle coloured base, with a vibrant pink-gold-green shimmer, a lot of linear holographic sparkle and iridescent flakies that appear more obvious in low light conditions. I really like the flakies that show up in low light and the vibrant shimmer running through. However, I do not care much for the in-your-face linear holographic flare in direct light, which is why I don’t end up using this very often. Incidentally, I used it for the first time on Wednesday and that same evening, decided to pass it on to someone who will hopefully love it better. I couldn’t resist taking some final bottle shots.
I stamped over this base with Moyra Fabric Texture (plate-02), and a gradient of Moyra light pink stamping polish and Pure Ice Superstar. I finished it off with some matte top coat and I love how it turned out, even though some of the stamping came out less than pristine.
This manicure reminds me of a warm and fuzzy rainbow-gradient sweater I used to own. It was the softest, most cozy sweater I’ve ever worn. On that note, I’m off to snuggle under my warm comforter. Stay warm and happy holidays!
