Hello! I haven’t had a chance to do much Halloween nail art this year, but here is a beauty I rather enjoyed wearing for almost a week. Although, given that Mr ACD loves all things arachnid, I’m not sure if this counts as a Halloween mani or a Valentine’s Day one!
The base is three coats of Bees Knees Lacquer The Fallen, a glowing medium grey/taupe base with pink-to-green shifting shimmer. Over that, I applied a single coat of ILNP Wonderland, a teal-to-blue-to-purple flakie topper, for some added depth. Finally, I topped it all off with a coat of Moyra glow-in-the-dark topper for extra spookiness.
Next, I double-stamped the webs using Moyra Fall In Love (83) and took the large spider on the ring finger from Creative Shop plate-150. I stamped each image in hot pink (Clear Jelly Stamper 005 Wild Child) and then black (Moyra Black).
The beautiful stringy/drippy-looking webs are the reason I bought this particular Moyra plate. I love how spooky they look! Here’s a shot in the dark, rather a challenge to photograph:
Let me know what you think of this mani. Glow-in-the-dark polish is so much fun, but can get a little tiresome when you’re putting baby back in bed for the umpteenth time in the night and she gets interested in them! I’m hoping to be able to work in another – maybe even two more – Halloween mani(s) in the upcoming days.
Are you doing anything for Halloween this year? Until my next post, stay safe and stay well, my friends!
