Hello, folks!!! I think it has been almost two months since I last posted, but who’s counting, right? 2020 is turning out to be quite the year for us, as for so many others. But it’s Halloween season, the beautiful Canadian fall is here, flu shots have arrived and life is good at the moment 😃. Oh, and we’re having turkey dinner tomorrow, and I love turkey!
I have for you today a mani I did for the #mattemanimoms collab back in February, maybe March. The theme was movies and I was reading Stephen King’s IT at the time. Sidenote: I am still reading it several months later, and it’s not because I’m a slow reader. I was just loving the storyline and the writing so much, that I decided to slow down and savour it. Does that ever happen to you?
So, here I am kicking off the Halloween season with this mani that I love immensely. Imagine my dismay when I realized the photos were a little out of focus and not as sharp as I would like.

The base is two coats of the ghostly Don’t Fear The Reaper by Tonic Polish on all but the middle finger. Over this, I double-stamped images from Mundo de Unas Horror 2 plate, first in white (Born Pretty white) then in black (Moyra black). On the ring finger, I filled in the balloon with Cirque Colors Hatch and then stamped the words in black. On my middle finger, I have on two coats of Cirque Colors Hatch. Over that, I stamper Pennywise in Moyra black using the same plate.

Since this was originally done for a matte collab, I wore it matte, but the glossy version looks really cool too, bringing out the blue glow in Don’t Fear The Reaper.

Let me know what you think of this mani. I have a ton of nail art to share from the summer months, and I’ll try to post them before life gets too crazy again. A very Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends and keep safe everyone!
Hope your turkey wound up being everything you were hoping for. 🙂

Yes, it was reasonably good. How was your Thanksgiving? Gearing up for Halloween/anniversary?

I know! Will wonders never cease, I gave returned! I have missed you as well, friend. 🙂
You remembered (our anniversary – also, I kind of never shut up about it!) Gearing up, indeed – we lit the front of the house with Halloween lights, it’s awesome. Are you doing anything for Halloween this year? Maybe taking the wee one out for a costumed walk?

An anniversary on Halloween is quite unforgettable!
We didn’t do much, but a little robot had some wonderful adventures at daycare the day before! Our neighbour’s driveway was also party central on an otherwise quiet and dark street so we hung out outdoors for a while chatting with all our neighbours from afar. Fun experience overall.

That’s so cute. 🙂 I actually heard from a bunch of friends with kids that it was their best Halloween yet. I think everybody was trying extra hard – I know we certainly were!

Yes, we noticed that too. Although we put in very little effort since she is still too young to understand!
