Lunar New Year

Hello, folks! I’m a day late, but a very happy Chinese (Lunar) New Year to you! This month, the prompt for the #halloweenforevercollab on Instagram was rats, since it is the year of the rat in the lunar calendar. I overthought this mani wildly, and ended up with zero terrifying ideas, so I just went with a simple New Year’s mani.

On my pinky and ring fingers, I’m wearing two coats of Cirque Colors Fizz, a sparkly, holographic champagne-gold glitter bomb that is as festive as it gets. Over that, I stamped a simple cloud pattern from Moyra Orientalist (plate-20) using Moyra black stamping polish.

On the remaining fingers, I’m wearing two coats of Emily de Molly Looks Can Kill, a red polish with strong green shimmer. Over this, I stamped a pattern from the same plate, using the same polish. To add a rat to the mix, I reverse-stamped an image from Creative Shop plate-115. I stamped the image in black and filled in with Maybelline Bold Gold.

See that last macro? Look how pretty and sparkly that gold in Fizz is! I really loved this mani, but didn’t wear it for too long… story of my life. Let me know what you think of this mani. Until my next post, toodles and have a wonderful and prosperous new year!
