Falling For Meow

Hello! I was taking a walk through the neighbourhood a couple of days ago, very much enjoying the myriad of fall colours against the grey of the sidewalk, when I saw my neighbour’s black cat rolling around in a pile of leaves. I came home and did this mani, rather a literal depiction of that scenario:

On my pinky finger, I have on two coats of the gorgeous Zoya Pixie Dust called Levi, a sparkly texture polish with a mix of small and medium-sized glitter. On the remaining fingers, I did a smoosh base using a few polishes by Cirque Colors – Urbanized (yellow), Red Hook (rust), 24K (gold) and Memento Mori (black).

I stamped over the thumb, middle and ring fingers using black stamping polish and plate-06 Florality, both by Moyra. On the index and ring fingers, I applied some water decals I bought off AliExpress a lifetime ago.

I also wore this mani matte, and can’t decide which I like better. I’d say matte, hands down, but I do love how the little splashes of gold seem to sparkle in the glossy version.

I must have raved about them before, but I do love a smoosh mani! They are so quick and easy to do (I use a stamper to smoosh down and it dries super fast), but look like a lot more effort was put in. I also seem to have been gravitating towards these very autumnal colours lately. In fact, there’s one more in this colour family up tomorrow for #fluidfriday, and then I’ll need a break from these colours! Also, I woke up this morning to find everything white and covered in snow, so this colour family is hardly relevant anymore!

Let me know in the comments how you like this mani and which version you like better. I’ll be back tomorrow with my fluid mani (after almost a month-long hiatus from those!). Until then, toodles.
