Transitioning

Hello! I’m going through a period of transition in several aspects of life, all at the same time. Not to mention, the weather outside is doing the same. In the spirit of this, I decided to post this gradient manicure today. I like gradients, but don’t end up doing them very often, and this was a success as far as bringing my vision to fruition goes.

Yes, the two are basically the same picture, but I couldn’t decide which bottle looked better!

I started with a base of white (Color Club French Tip). Once that was fully dry, I sponged on a gradient using Tonic Polish Glowy Joe (green), Deep Sea-crets (turquoise) and Pepper (purple). Glowy Joe and Deep Sea-crets both have a similar reddish shimmer, and I thought that went along quite nicely with the red-gold-green shift of the unicorn pee pigment in Pepper.

I stamped over the gradient with Moyra black stamping polish and Moyou London Mix & Match 08.

I also had to try it matte, and I’m uncertain which looks better.

I have one more summer-ish mani before I move back into my comfort zone of muted/darker colours. I’ve tried really hard this year to do at least a couple of brighter/seasonal manis for a change, but I wouldn’t mind being comfortable again for a while… Especially with Halloween season coming up!

Have a great weekend and, until the next post, toodles!
